Not just Juergen, but Lucius and I think someone else too snapped: >Dirk Dekker wrote: > >> Hi, where I do find the latest Win32lib > >THIS IS THE WRONG THREAD! >STOP THIS NONSENSE IMMEDIATELY! >THE VERY FIRST THING THAT YOU HAVE TO LEARN IS, HOW NOT TO GET ON OUR >NERVES!! Hey! This list should accept newbies and their mistakes, and /politely/ point them out. If you need to vent (we all do), then please reserve that for old hands (such as myself) who can take as good as they give. Regards, Pete PS Welcome, Dirk. It is usually friendlier around here.

It is usually friendlier around here. Yeah. This is not a perl forum. As for rules, the only rules anyone who posts here must follow are those posted on the RDS webpage, which seem to amount to one thing: "try to stay on the topic of Euphoria or closely related issues." Beyond that, anything else is just common sense and common courtesy. Courtesy, by the way, includes ignoring things which may tick you off, but which are of little or no importance to the teeming billions. Irv

And thanks to Irv and Derek for being the voice of reason. You may want to check out http://uboard.proboards32.com/ I believe (I'm not involved) there are several helpful souls offering, for free, 1:1 handholding to get newbies up and running. Regards, Pete

Not everyone was once a newby, some of us were born yesterday knowing everything, like me. Dan PS, My only newby problem with euphoria was years ago, not understanding that some thing return stuff(graphics_mode) and otherstuff(puts) doesn't. > > Good luck with your programming Dirk > > Chris Bensler > Code is Alchemy > > > > >

To assist newbies and oldtimers alike. Examples : Pete Lomax - clear and precise quick to respond. irv mullins - very helpful. matt lewis - explains things clearly and points out where further help can be found. kat - very helpful tends to ramble off into computer technical jargin. derek parnell - Points out thing that others often miss. CaJaBo - can be a little snippy but goes into details well. Sorry if I left anybody out. I will try to include them on my next update. Any newbies feel free to contribute to the list. doncole SF
