1. License Poll?
I think a poll should be started with a list of open-source licenses to vote
for. Jason Gade liked the idea too.
*Everyone* including RDS should vote.
However I feel public-domain should be crossed out.

That could work but in the end it is fully (and only) Rob's decision.

A poll sounds worthwhile. I would think it should be hosted by RDS.
I think Public Domain is a very bad idea and should not even be considered.
I suppose RDS could issue its own licence specifying whatever it (apologies to
Rob & Junko) thinks would be the effect of a "Public Domain" release.
Did I just contradict myself?
Aren't most of the interpreted languages with which Euphoria competes
released under GPL/LGPL?

Maybe but I think he'll go with which ever license gains the most votes.

Because there is no protection with public-domain. Someone could just acquire
the code and call it their own.
That would be a terrible insult to Robert's long dedication to this project and
his efforts to share it with community.

Ruby: GPLv2 or separate terms
Perl: Artistic
Python: Python 2.4.2 license (OSI approved, Open Source)
PHP3: GPL PHP4: Apache-like (they found GPL too restrictive)
Python is interesting. It was developed in a commercial environment but a
non-profit foundation was formed to take ownership of everything.
