Hi,

Thanks for this thoughtful reply.

I haven't sent screen shots because nothing shows on the screen that is useful,
that is, the cursor is not visible. At one point I noticed that, though the
actual cursor was at the beginning of the second text column (I had pressed the
HOME key), the cursor position was reported as at column one at the bottom of the
screen.

Also, I have sent no ex.err files because the program has not crashed and
produced any. I have simply closed the program when I could no longer work
effectively in it.

Anyway, the only solid information I had when I wrote (to follow up as I said I
would) was that the bookmarks are not involved in the problem. I, no doubt like
you, am baffled no one else is reporting this cursor misbehavior.

Of course I'm only using Edita019 until a more useful version (for me) comes
along smile and I will be glad to jump forward eventually. If I come up with
useful info on this problem, I'll send it to you.
