Just for the record, the word you're looking for is "jealous"... Your English is more than passable (it's better than that of some native speakers I know); if you keep practicing, you'll get better. Keep at it. Some other comments: 1. Jiri - your font stuff is wonderful; if it could be sped up a little bit, it would be superb - but I'm working on a support program for a RPG, in Euphoria, and it will be using the current version. Kudos. As an aside, I'm working on a font that I call 8859-105; if I had LFNs, I'd call it 5px8859-1 - as implied, it's a five-pixel-high font with a character set compatible with ISO-8859-1; if other people find the idea useful, and say so, I'll consider doing 8px, 14px, and 16px versions of it. FWIW, ISO-8859-1 is standard across most of Europe other than PCs (which seem to prefer code page IBM-850); it's also the default character set for Windows and Win95, and corresponds to plane 0 of Unicode and ISO-10646. 2. David - I am significantly impressed by your text_gui stuff; I've bound ee and use it as my standard Euphoria editor. I have encountered exactly two flaws to date: first, even if a file is named appropriately, syntax highlighting doesn't work when starting with a named but empty file (i.e., if I say "ee foo.ex", and foo.ex doesn't exist, I won't get syntax coloring) - although it works fine on an existing file with text in it. Second, I had a block highlighted and planned to do a replace in it; when I invoked the replace command from the menu, I got an error about a negative index, and the DOS box (under Win31) closed immediately (it wasn't supposed to; I "violated system integrity"). 3. Robert - I have no complaints about the current incarnation of Euphoria, just some requests: First, in graphics.e, can we have a circle/ellipse procedure that works on a center/radius or center/semimajor/semiminor basis instead of on a bounding-box basis, as the current one does? I've found that most people think in terms of center/radius when dealing with these shapes; it's an effort to switch to bounding-box mode. I suppose I _could_ release a new version of extgraph.e, but...:) Also, I'm _really_ hot for a Windows/Win95 version of Euphoria, and a DOS version which can also handle creating LFN files. Can I hold my breath waiting for the release without turning blue? ========================================================================= Jeff Zeitlin jeff.zeitlin at execnet.com --- ~ OLXWin 1.00b ~ Mental Floss prevents Moral Decay.
