1. machine code reference

Sometime while going over past logs, I came across a thread about
machine code references which was never resolved, as far as I remember.
It occurred to me that it would indeed be nice to have such a
reference, should I ever try my hand at machine coding, so I went and found
it.
The following link is to the Intel page which has on it the link for
showing a HUGE Adobe Acrobat file; the file is the complete reference to
the instruction set and opcode structure of the intel processors 286
through the Pentium Pro.

        http://www.intel.com/design/intarch/manuals/243191.HTM

Adobe provides a free pdf file viewer at this page:

        http://www.adobe.com/prodindex/acrobat/readstep.html

Whew! I've been searching for this stupid thing for weeks. Now *I*
        feel
stupid for not looking at Intel's site in the first place.

Later,
Craig
