Why *not* have the gun accessable in some way from outside your program?
Will you re-write the entire game, including how the hand hold the gun, when
a new high tech zapper is the rage in violent games? <wince>

Not in some OSs. You mess too low in win/*nix and you get trouble sooner or
later.

True, i am using nearly 100% cpu on one app atm, i can't use explorer, and
if i hadn't used a timer to start the main program, i couldn't even access
the desktop cause it got too busy to acknowledge the minimise window
command. I could use $ to put memory into the other puter so i can do real
multitasking across ethernet *now*. Hence, the solution is bounded by money
and time, and in a way, i had to redefine the problem to run on one
machine,, and the coding to handle the msgs between threads on one machine,
etc., so the problem was redefined too.

Me either :-\
I'm rather forced to use one language for one purpose, another to do
something else, a 3rd for etc.. and then play with linking them together,,
and i end up with a huge app that runs only on windoze (slowly) and can't be
debugged by anyone else. :-\

I disagree.

Other languages do what some of us have asked for, how does excluding those
features help Robert's bank account?

Not that i appreciate the average "script kiddie" he helped put online....
<flamethrower on> Shoot, you may be embarrassed by your english, but from
what i can see, more people who do not use english as a primary language
speak it better online than the average user in the usa. <flamethrower off>

Umm,, someone said a while back,, why reinvent the wheel? Funny, tho, i was
just saying last nite i was considering a Eu script to emulate something
else that does have gotos in it,, but it would take a lot of time away from
everything else i am doing. And to do it right, i'd prolly need to know as
much about Eu as Robert, and so it's more cost effective to convince him and
the rest of the Eu team of the need to do it.
