1. Mandriva (& Euphoria)

Hello again,

Anyone try this system? It seems to be decent, but im wondering
if Euphoria runs ok under this system and what needs to be done
to get it working under Linux in general as it's been a long time
now since i played around with Linux.

Thanks.

Take care,
Al

Hi Al:

Mandriva Linux (formerly Mandrakelinux) was created in 1998.

Here is a link with more information.

http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=mandriva

Al I would suggest that you use one of the Linux Distros that a

majority of users on this list are using so that if you need

help it will be available from a user of euphoria.

I had no trouble installing and running Euphoria
on Mandrake 10.0 (the predecessor of Mandriva)
about two years ago. Just download the Euphoria
for Linux package on the downloads page and read
the install.doc file. It's very simple.
One of my machines dual-boots Mandrake Linux or XP.
Works fine.

Rob, this page: http://www.rapideuphoria.com/install.htm
and the link to it on this page: http://www.rapideuphoria.com/manual.htm
"Intstructions for Installing Euphoria" make no reference to installing
Linux. Perhaps you need to add Linux instructions to:
http://www.rapideuphoria.com/install.htm

Good thing. I have dual boot Mandriva-2008/XP machine.
I like it, it works OK with Euphoria SDL on Linux/Windows.
Mandriva-2008 has One CD, Free (3CD), Power (DVD)
and Flash (2GB) versions on any taste.

There is 2008.1 beta now.

Rob, I don't see the link on:http://www.openeuphoria.org/EUforum/m19043.html
Where did you add the link to the Linux/FreeBSD instructions?

See the second line of the Windows instructions:
   http://www.rapideuphoria.com/install.htm

I also made "installu.doc" clickable from the download page:

10. Re: Mandriva (& Euphoria)

Hello again,

Thanks for the replies to everyone that replied.
Im having a bit of another problem now however in that
i cant seem to find the way to store the settings to
USB flash drive using the 'live' version. A friend
of mine wants to do this too. I am beginning to
think it doesnt do that anymore. Without that you
have to enter in the settings with each and every new
bootup.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Take care,
Al
