I haven't asked Rob to link to it yet, because I didn't realize how many
people would find it more useful than Neil. I've added some bitmap
scaling routines and I still need to fix up the vesa_mode routine for
better compatibility.

Only the 8-bit-per-pixel modes. (see also /euphoria/include/graphics.e)

4, but you're on your own for doing raw video memory access (planar mode
really sucks, trust me)

64k = 65536 -- 16-bit color = 2^16
16.7M = 16777216 -- 24-bit color = 2^24
