Hello All! I wanted a function or procedure in (DOS) for "read" the physical ID serial from hardisk (IDE). Please in pure Dos (Microsoft) or (Caldera). Thanks!

Hi there, Im not sure if this is what you are looking for but you can execute the command "Vol c:" in a dos window to see the serial number. Do a Euforum search for "hard disk serial number". I found quite a few messages, with code, to do that.
