I managed ot make my first CGI Dump.. ie this is one include file which initialises all the server information, cookies etc similar(ish) to how PHP would. It gives away a bit of server information but oh well :P It tries to set 3 test cookies.. you should be able to view these when you refresh the page if your browser accepts cookies http://209.59.178.89/~frankied/xcgi-info.exu

Hi. I'm making a new web page and i'm trying to learn all the cool tricks you can use. So i decided to try making a smallish cgi roleplaying game to stick on it. but i still can't work out how to make cgi programs work.. I tried looking at Irv's cgi tutorial page, but it didn't enlighten me. Anyone got any help for me? I needa make something with a whole lot of buttons and stuff on it. but i can't work out the html code for it... i figured out how to use frames though, so atleast that's something useful! Thanks, Mark. ps. i havn't got very far with my 3d engine yet cos it's a realy big project and i don't have the time for it just at the moment since i'm getting ready to go to amreica in just over 3 weeks. but once i'm settled down there it'll be underway again! pss. i have a sphere mapping routine if anyone is interested. it maps any sized image to a sphere, and allows you to rotate it in x and y directions, and have any size radius and a moving light source. it's pretty cool, but it's a bit slow still. it uses virtual screens too.

If you could up it to RDS homepage that would be ideal. It's kinda simulare to somthing i been meaning to start on, but have been to busy to get to. Thanks Kasey

Some (especially servers running on Windows machines) don't support CGI, or do it differently. Irv
