Trouble in Paradise! I think it all began when I upgraded to the latest version of ncurses. Yet, along the same time I foolishly ignored some dependancy warning while installing a KDE package. I can no longer run KDE. I can run most KDE apps on Fluxbox, FVWM. Regarding Euphoria... I get all sorts of trash on the screen when running certain programs with exu - notably ed.ex. This causes me to think the problem might be an ncurses issues... but, if I compile ed.ex - runs perfectly. I decided to try "export TERM=ansi" - no joy. Here is a copy of my .profile: PATH=/home/ken/euphoria/bin:$PATH EUDIR=/home/ken/euphoria EUINC=/home/ken/euphoria/include/:/home/ken/euprogs/wxeu-linux-0-9-0/wxEuphoria TERM=ansi export PATH EUDIR EUINC TERM Any suggestions will be appreciated. Bernie My files in archive: w32engin.ew mixedlib.e eu_engin.e win32eru.exw Can be downloaded here: http://www.rapideuphoria.com/cgi-bin/asearch.exu?dos=on&win=on&lnx=on&gen=on&keywords=bernie+ryan

I meant when I run a c-translated/compiled binary of the "ed.ex" source code. Hmmmm wonder if the problem will go away if the next version of Euphoria uses the latest version of ncurses. I guess I'll make do for a couple of months... SuSE 10.1 should be out about the time as Euphoria 3.0. Ken Rhodes 100% MicroSoft Free SuSE Linux 10.0 No AddWare, SpyWare, or Viruses! Life is Good
