Hi I have a problem with David's ee.ex editor when I try to "save file as" on the menu and then goto a dif file folder then try to save the file I get a 300 lines or something like that error,but my code is only 5 lines I know that the pd version of the ex.exe is 300 or 700 can't remember right now.I only have the pd version it seams that 1.5 wont work anymore,but I will get a update soon.I also have this problem with cryeks version too.Thanks for the help. David Mosley david1 at geocities.com pmosley at infoway.lib.nm.us P.S Is Euphoria 2000 oked I mean that it wont explode in the year 2000 will it.Would anyone like to make a spell checker for ee.ex because I cant spell very good and it would make it easyer to stop some bugs like typeos.

Yes it's Y2K OK! Euphoria date() function returns the number of years since 1900. So 2000 would be 100 and 2001 101. To display the date use something like: constant YEAR = 1, MONTH = 2, DAY = 3, HOUR = 4, MINUTE = 5, SECOND = 6, WEEKDAY = 7, YEARDAY = 8, month = {"January","February","March","April","May","June","July","Agust", "September","October","November","December"}, day = {"Sunday","Monday","Tuesday","Wednesday","Thursday","Friday", "Saturday"} procedure PrintDate() sequence now now = date() printf(1, "Now is " & day[now[WEEKDAY]] & " " & month[now[MONTH]] & " %d, %d at %d:%d:%d\n", {now[DAY], now[YEAR]+1900, now[HOUR], now[MINUTE], now[SECOND]}) end procedure PrintDate() Regards, Daniel Berstein daber at pair.com

Blimey! Someone actually downloaded it :) I'd not actually come across this bug, but it seems to be in a part of the code I haven't touched, so David's code is still operating verbatim there. I'll look into it in the new year. This mail (and maybe a few others) is a result of "just-passin'-thru" :) Meanwhile, use the kludge I have been using: Copy the file using a utility or COPY. I use a NC clone when I program so I use the Copy function all the time, hence me being oblivious to the bug. Incidentally, that's "Cyrek" and the statement limit is 300. :) No harm done. Don't worry about it :) Happy New Year Eupholk <g>, Carl PS In case you hadn't noticed, SPLIT (the seemingly still broken beta) is back on my site. Had a couple of complaints from some friends here at the Uni about broken links. -- Carl R White -- Final Year Computer Science at the University of Bradford E-mail...: cyrek- at -bigfoot.com -- Remove the hyphens before mailing.
