Hi all, This is the time for me to really come out of the closet I= guess. I'm bright, I exactly know how bright, and I only will share= this with a very limited group of people, because, whatever I say, it makes me feel uncomfortable to tell all of it, and my parents= told me, as a child, to be modest. I still kind of obey to that childhood-law. But I could prove it= if you wish so, I won't let me challenge however. I've met three names on the net, I accept to be my peers, or= even my superiors, in their specific field of knowledge. !) Robert Craig, I bow my head for his mind, tenacity,= dedication and patience and the immense effort he has put in Euphoria. 2) Derek Parnell, Guy, though you don't seem to be willing to answer my personal post, I hold you high, for all the work you did and do on Win32.lib. I had to write it Derek, I'm sorry you seem to have cut me off, Ask Rob if you're right or I am. 3) Last but not least Meow, you Kat, for the invaluable help you gave me on WWW/IRC etc. I've met some others I like, CKLester, PeteLomax,Euler German Ricardo Forno, Carl White and yes Karl Bochert you too, despite bit of butt-kicking your way, as well and all those of you in= Mid- and Eastern-Europe, and last Jon, you can count yourself in as= well. Oh Yes you Kiwi, I almost forgot you. To all those upto here I offer my friendship and dedication and= if possible help. All others: I don't really have an opinion on you yet, as i've= exchanged no direct mail with you on whatever subject. I really got angry during the Future of Euphoria-thread. You will= have so after my last post. I'm NOT GONNA APOLOGISE THIS TIME. EUrs antoine tammer

>Oh Yes you Kiwi, I almost forgot you. No, we have not met. You just sent me an email, which I politely ignored! Rob: can't you see, this is MTS resurrected. Please, excise the rubbish before it causes any more harm. jiri

Any one scorning and 'buking me is invited to the chatroom now,= and hear me explain once more. Guys you're fighting somebody who= could very well become a great friend, with an excellent feeling= for loyalty, I'll be waiting there for ten minutes. It's early= morning in Holland and I haven't had a wink yet. Antoine

: <a.tammer at hetnet.nl> Antoine did you say you were 4 or 5 yrs old? cause if your 5 then maybe you should act like it...hmmm? I learned people dont give a shit about what you think you know but what you actually do know. I also dont see this EuCon (conference) ever happening. Euphoria is a very nice TOY language but hardly has anything worth people paying money to meet and discuss. Show me the Money! (Books Deals, Mega-Money Games, Multi-Million Dollar Database managment systems, etc..etc) then maybe I'll come. Euman

I agree with you, Jonas. Moreover, subscripts out of bounds, hanging pointers, unintended variable overlaps, and other "features", are a nightmare under C/C++. Also, has anyone consider the possibility of using Euphoria as a pseudo-code variant, one that is executable? And what about using Euphoria as the first language for beginners? I am now teaching C/C++ as the first language in an University here in Buenos Aires, and I am finding that this is really difficult for beginners. You are not devoting your time to teach algorithms and basic programming techniques, but to peculiarities of the language. Now I am proposing a workshop for teachers in this University, dealing with Euphoria, trying to convince them to teach it to beginners.
