1. battle bots
Not to be completely off-topic, but my brother somewhat participated in
a similar contest. the only difference was it was with "real" bots.
the purpose was to create a bot which could place tires on a tiered
rotating rack. three bots competed at a time and the _only_ goal was
the placement of tires. the prollem was the contest was
no-holds-barred. so my brother and his team spent 3 months building a
robot which had minimal tire placement ability, but maximum opponent
destructions capability. as a result, they practically ruined the whole
competition. they ripped one of the top competitors in half.
i guess my point is, battlin' bots is one thing, but clever bots is
sumthin' entirely different.
