Don't the Topica folks realize that this makes them appear
to be uniquely clueless? Others seem to be able to update ads,
change software, and even replace hardware without going
offline for more than a few seconds, if at all.

Just what is this 'routine maintenance', anyway?
Are they changing the oil in the disk drives every 5,000 miles?

Irv:
They don't care about any list their only purpose
is to change the ADs to make money off the users.
Most large systems I've seen do updates on wednesday
in the middle of the week off peak time.
