It's currently being overhauled internally, but very steadily. Derek Parnell has
made his other projects a higher priority. I see much promise for cross-platform
wxEuphoria, the wrappers are actively being developed & improved by Matt Lewis,
and Mario Steele. I have yet to touch any GUI library with Euphoria, but my next
project will likely use wxEuphoria.

Vincent

It is not abandoned. I provide support for the existing release.

I'm slowly working on a rewrite of the library. The current one is not flexible
enough to meet future needs. The work is not a high priority as the current
library is fairly stable and usable. A higher priority for me is to develop a
viable alternative implemenation of Euphoria.

Note to Greg Haberek: I've changed the internal API for user-written controls
and I'm sure you'll have to rework some of the new Graph control. Sorry about
that but I hope you'll find the new API a lot more versatile.

As a related question, has anyone written a pure Linux GUI?

I'm sure the general idea in Linux-world is cross-platform, but is
there anywhere a Linux-only based one? I am pretty sure this
has not been attempted in Euphoria, I'm asking if this has ever,
to anyone's knowledge, been attempted in any language.

Pete

I thought that someone was working on a Qt-based toolkit. It was to be
linux only but since Qt is cross platform someone would have been able
to move it to Windows with some work.

There's Irv's euGTK which again is mostly Linux but still cross-platform
I think.

I don't think anyone has done a framebuffer-based or directly X Window
System-based library.

Umh... EuGTK? Though that runs in windows too, but is primarily designed to be
used in linux. Then someone started a project to wrap qt, named midgard (don't
remember, but it was one of the ole famous euphorians).

No problem. I'm still digging around and figuring out how it all
works. What's the one feature I hope to see on custom controls?
Doc-u-men-ta-tion. :)
