The file refman.htm is not the reference manual. It starts with refman1.htm Refman.htm is this 'documentation' index, Alan just made. Maybe it ought to be renamed to index.htm for clearity. Ralf

>Maybe it ought to be renamed to index.htm for clearity. Great idea, since this file contains an index to everything. I made the links intentionally this way since this was what I thought John wanted. Alan =

Thanks Alan for your efforts, much appreciated ... no Meta Tags ? <VERY BIG GRIN> Now some people [ er, me ] are just *so* picky ... I was thinking of an index which gave links to all the .HTM files ( possibly sectioned on the page ) ... I find it so much easier to point my browser at one page ( via Favourites or whatever ) and then whizz down the list displayed in the browser to the document which I want; and a table could give desc. of each file. Calling it INDEX.HTM is a good idea as that's what people look for in a directory ( some browsers automatically do that ) ... that's why I didn't twig REFMAN.HTM was the index. Tried V2.1 Alpha last night ( Good old Pixel Bots and a few other bits of code ); everything worked A1-OK, brilliant, no changes needed, not like an MS upgrade at all
