1. [OT] Internet access?

Hello everybody, I would like put a stool, table and a computer in the window of my store, with a sigh that say's "Internet Access Inside". Does anybody know the best way best go about this? Use a private company or do it yourself. Don Cole

Get a computer, table, and stool, put them in your store window, then put a sign in the window that says "internet access inside" in the window. (Then get a puppy Linux disk, but thats a bit serious here!) Chris

Hi Don i think you're making this way too complicated! As I said, just get the equipment, shove it in the window, put in a Puppy Linux disk, (sorts out all the connections, set up, etc etc, without having to install anything), let it boot, and off you go. People pay to use, the simplest way is to have access to the plug (DSL socket), and pull it when the times up. Or you could play, and make an eu blocking program, but I'm not going into that here. Also find the oldest, most knackered equipment you can (second hand, garage, local tip), because Puppy will make it run like a new one, and you can configure it to look like XP so a lot of people won't even know the difference. Sit back and rake in the profits. Don't you dare use a private company! Chris
