Hi all I have the Slack Zip 8.0 version of linux and whated to know if any one knows how to get the mail from my server.I am using PINE as the mail reader also I am in text mode only no X Thanks for the help David pmosley at infoway.lib.nm.us

Pine is a mail reader, but not a downloader. Most distributions come with fetchmail, which can download mail from your ISP's mail server. Try typing fetchmail -ppop3 mail.yourserver.com -udmosley (the -p is protocol, the -u is user.) Fetchmail will ask you for your password, and download the messages, provided you are already dialed up and connected to your ISP. Regards, Irv
