Did you get my new version of the diff program I sent you to evaluate? I
have not heard any more about it...

Yes, but instead of exactly evaluating it, I again wrapped a Windows gui
around it ('cause that's how I use it), & also added a
"stop-in-the-middle-of-comparing" to both, which complicates the evaluation,
because in the "backtrack" version, making it able to be stopped in the
middle of comparison makes it take a long time to do even simple compares,
but the non-backtrack version WITH THE STOP ABILITY ADDED is *much* faster .
I know this is the exact opposite of what Pete finds with the original dos
diff program. Pete sent you some test results, maybe you have them by now?
