Now that i've found the codes, the returned index for the selected item seems to be off by one selected = sendMessage(idList,#188,0,0) item = getItem(idList, selected) In the above code 'item' contains the info from the item in the list that is 1 (one) before the highlighted item. What is it that I don't understand or have done wrong?? thanks for any help george

If you like I can point you to the place where you can get it and how...

Just add one to the return value.

>yes, point me to it..... thanks > >george No problem. Its a really great reference. Just about everything is there. Just convert assembly notation to euphoria. Its almost dummy proof. 00035h assembly = #35 =) Main web site is: http://spiff.tripnet.se/~iczelion/download.html The link you want is "Windows Include File for MASM version 1.25" (Its about 190k)
