1. Integrate or Separate?

Hi All,
First off I want to say that I am quite pleased that Euphoria has gone open
source.
Secondly, I was wondering if there was any consideration of integrating win32lib
or wxEuphoria with the main Euphoria distribution? And perhaps choosing one of
the usermade editors as the Euphoria standard editor?
I can understand the wisdom in keeping things separate, but I can also see the
benefits or integration.

Hi Chris,
Just 2 quick points:
1. At least initially (and probably long term) I think Euphoria should remain
minimal with respect to dependencies. This makes the the language itself easier
to maintain and port to different OS's.
2. I believe emphasis should be pushed towards cross platform tools.
For GUI's wxEuphoria would be my vote.
I don't think it needs to be part of the base Euphoria install though.
As time goes on maybe an "extended" version of Euphoria will be created which
is the last stable release of Euphoria plus a number of useful libraries and
tools.

I second that.
The last thing I want to see is the official Euphoria pkg being distributed with
a pile of intergrated functionality.
Everyone has their own preferences of what API's they choose to use.
A detailed list of major API's and a comparison of them would be most helpful to
everyone, rather than spotlighting one or 2.
