4. Re: Off Topic Puzzle

Sorry for any confusion, but in the puzzle, there is no difference between
"live" and "own". These are meant to be interchangable and not represent
different relationships.

Thus the first clue "The British lives in the Red House" could have been
written as "The British owns the Red house".

In other words, the owners live in their own houses.

9. Re: Off Topic Puzzle

My original post on the 21st never made it, so I'll resend it:

Derek,

I said it before when a variant of this puzzle was presented earlier, so
I'll say it again: you can't say ANYONE keeps a fish, because you don't
KNOW that anyone keeps a FISH; the one who doesn't keep any of the
DESCRIBED pets COULD keep a giraffe, or an iguana, or worms, there's nothing
in the puzzle that states one of the people DOES keep a fish. ASKING "who
keeps fish", is NOT logically the same as saying "One of the individuals
keeps fish; which is it?". The question by itself is not a statement of
fact, and all you can apply as puzzle information is statements of fact.
Right?
