did as suggested, wouldn't compile, no such directory as 'gtk-config ..... etc' Then discovered only had part of the gtk libraries installed - may have something to do with not installing Gnome, as suggested by someone else, but I had to install the gtk development libraries, which included usr/include/gtk/gtk.h and /usr/include/gdk/gdk.h (as requested in the header (top part!) of your sample program. Still wouldn't compile, with your suggested compile instruction (same error). so then I did this gcc gtkwin.c -o gtkwin -lgtk -lgdk This compiled, and ran, and produced a test window. Great, thought I, now we can try your gtk library - but, still didn't produce anything - none of the demo programs did anything, nothing, no errors or anything. Checked paths - euphoria include and binary path present. Any other ideas. Chris
