Does underscore in host name allowed? I get this URL http://daburas_dungeon00.tripod.com/daburas_dungeon/ but it says The requested URL could not be retrieved While trying to retrieve the URL: http://daburas_dungeon00.tripod.com/daburas_dungeon/ The following error was encountered: Invalid URL Some aspect of the requested URL is incorrect. Possible problems: Missing or incorrect access protocol (should be `http://'' or similar) Missing hostname Illegal double-escape in the URL-Path Illegal character in hostname; underscores are not allowed -- Orang besar memperlihatkan kebesarannya dengan cara ia memperlakukan orang kecil.

I followed that link, and it works just fine under IE6. I don't have Netscape or Opera, so I can't speak for those browsers, but it looks like an underscore in the host name IS acceptable. Works ok on Opera. :) Unfortunately, I can't tell a word about Netscape... -- Euler On 9 Feb 2002, at 21:32, munchr at mac.com wrote: > > I followed that link, and it works just fine under IE6. > I don't have Netscape or Opera, so I can't speak for > those browsers, but it looks like an underscore in the > host name IS acceptable. > > James Powell > > At 10:32 AM 10/02/2002 +0700, you wrote: > > > >Does underscore in host name allowed? > > > >I get this URL > >http://daburas_dungeon00.tripod.com/daburas_dungeon/ > > > >but it says > >The requested URL could not be retrieved > > > > > >While trying to retrieve the URL: > >http://daburas_dungeon00.tripod.com/daburas_dungeon/ > > > >The following error was encountered: > > > >Invalid URL > > > >Some aspect of the requested URL is incorrect.
