1. urlmon.dll

Does anyone know how to tell urlmon.dll to not use the internet settings in
IE?

I would think IE is directed by some entries in the Registry.

Maybe. But it's not practical to have async registry edits going on for
different programs all the time. Especially given i have having file locking
problems. I thought i'd get away from that with bindw, but even then, the
resulting exe can be running for 3 hours, and i cannot change the name of
that exe file, nor copy it, move it, delete it, etc.. The latest urlmon app
writes
to a file, and then goes to read another one to see if it exists, and crashes
with a drive locking "error" because another app is running. So no, i don't
want Eu apps messing with the registry.

It looks like IE web browser to the internet, so websites that refuse to talk to
all the other socks libs will accept this.
