1. Windows Installer?
Anybody have a Windows installer program? I'll need to modify any installer
already created, but I'd like to not have to reproduce the proverbial
rolling thing on an axle.
Actually, I distribute a DOS installer with all the software I send out,
but I'm switching to Windows-only, and I'll hopefully be able to port most
of the code over. I just need the new Windows interface.
Thanks!

Would that be the proverbial Corn-dog?

How about install-shield? (I think that's what it's called)

Irv,
T'anks for the response. I don't want to buy an installer program, then have
to pay a royalty or whatever for each distribution... Plus, I want total
control over the installer.
T'anks,

Greetings!
I found a freeware software installer some time ago called GkSetup. I
checked and a newer version is available at <http://www.gkware.com>. The
version I have allows you to create a self-extracting exe file which will
dump its contents into the users temp directory and then run one of the
files to install the others where you like, etc. There is also a
professional edition for $129 (?), but the free one may be all you need. A
page comparing the versions is at
<http://www.gkware.com/gksetup/comparison.htm>.
