Hello Don,
You are a champion.
Ran the code and it seems that
all should be O.K. with Mode(19).
My Graphics Card Nvidia Ge Force 5500
accepted "it"...............
Yet, in Jiri's code NO GO !!
I've worked around it..
in a way that we will not discuss ..
disgusting !!
But I can get what I want .. I hope.
So, again I really do not know why it used to work and
now NO GO ..
Anyway ..

Try looking up for use_vesa() in the manual. When you have read the entry,
you may wish to add a statement to Jiri's code and see what happens with
your particular driver.
I just downloaded and tested; the demo font.ex works fine here.
Config: WinXP SP2, 800x600 on an Intel 82845G/GE/GL/PE video controller.
