Matt, you sent me routines for this some time ago and for the life of me I cannot find or even remember what you named them. Perhaps if I could remember their names I could fined them. Can you email them to me?? Along the same lines, can you think of any reasion I could not compress a document with them and save them into a blob in MySql? Thanks

I'm not sure what these routines were. Were they the routines from database.e that will convert an arbitrary euphoria object into a stream of bytes? I don't see any reason why you couldn't store something like that into MySQL. They don't really do much in the way of compression, except that it stores integers in as few bytes as possible. Matt

Matt, I believe they were routines you extracted in a convinent form from database.e. What I'm trying to do is compress month-end reports from my accounting packages to archive them for future use. These reports have a large number of blanks that I would like to shrink.
