I agree totally. It is an amazing amount of people out there who want (and
in my case: need) faster graphics. Incidently, I did not mean to run down
the quality of games in my first post as to their playability, I just meant
that speed is speed, power is power. But there are a few areas in EU that
demand more attention, and Graphics and its child, Gaming, is one of them.
I have to say that most of what I program is large-scale translation
projects; data-bases, and so on. But all of this is given benefit when
people push the envelope. I try not to re-invent the wheel with what I do,
and this means always trying to improve things not wish that I was back in
the good old days. Besides my trusty PC, I also have an Amiga 500, a C64,
an Apple IIe, a CPM Workstation (honest!), but guess where I spend most of
my time?
