1. Euphoria tolerant Linux
Hi,
The list of available Linux distributions is growing fast, the choice
is bewildering. From the popular distributions, which ones are
Euphoria friendly? Has anybody surveyed the scene recently?
In particular, is SuSE a suitable vehicle? Thanks. jiri
2. Re: Euphoria tolerant Linux
Basically any distro based on libc6 or glibc-2.*.* (the standard
libraries) will run Euphoria. I've tried most mainstream PC-based ones
(Red Hat, Caldera, SuSE, Debian) with little problem, as well as a few
less-common distros (DosLinux, for example).
The only distro to avoid: Any version of Slackware before version 7.0.
You can still find a lot of 5.0's in stores. 5.0 is based on libc5,
which does not work with Euphoria.
Regards,
Greg
