Use taskmgr and show GDI Objects per process. A few examples to watch are Black Box (EX19.EXW... especially when resizing the window; see my post on flicker and repainting on resize) and drawing2.exw. I suspect RepaintWindow and/or RepaintRect to be the culprit... -- Brian
