1. Download count
Rob, is there any way you can post on your website, next to our
contributions, the number of times our file has been downloaded? It would
certainly help to tell us if our project is worthy of carrying on. just an
idea, and if its totally undoable (is that a word?) don't laugh at me to
hard.
So long and thanks for all the fish,
Adam Weeden

I have the information, but it's not practical to merge
the data into the Web pages in real-time, or even
on a regular basis.
Other than euphor22.zip, the hot file right now is
ee.zip with 192 downloads in the past 6 days.
Your record.zip was downloaded 37 times in the
past 3 days. I think the MicroEconomy numbers
are more indicative of "good" files, and I encourage
more registered users to vote.

Get ColdFusion and I will write you a download count meter, updated on the
spot in 10 minutes :)
Of course, I'm betting you dont have $3000 to spare for a copy of ColdFusion
Server :P
It would be good practice tho.

Except that if i titled an app MakeGoldFromWater.zip , it would win the
download count war but still be worthless. Rob is right,, the download count
is meaningless to me.

5. Re: Download count
Why not just publish the download counts file once a month as file on the
archive. It would be nice if it contained the current month and a total.
