1. Creating .WAV files

I know that this is a little off topic but it does relate to Euphoria:

Is there anyway to create a .wav file other than combining existing files or
recording using a microphone or cd player? For instance could one take sound
bites off of a cd rom in the computer's disk drive?

thanks

Linux has programs to rip a cd and convert to wav files.
I haven't tried any for Windows, but check this one:

Do you mean from your program or just in general? Either way the
answer is: yes, you can. If you just want to extract sounds from a cd
then use a ripper, I believe Irv has already pointed out a Linux one
but if you using windows then check out MusicMatch Jukebox
(www.musicmatch.com).
