1. Binding
Here are some tips for binding with 2.3:
1. The new EUINC environment variable isn't supported yet
by the 2.3 binder. This will be fixed in the beta release.
2. The bind options have changed. They are simpler but different
from the 2.2 binder. The new binder has a "-clear" option, but
this is *not* the same as the -clear_routines option of 2.2.
-clear_routines is no longer necessary because the new
binder is smarter about routine_id(). -clear in 2.3 is just for
people who want to run bind or shroud, but keep the source
readable for any ex.err or diagnostic dumps that might happen,
especially when other people run the program.
3. The 2.3 binder can only bind with the 2.3 public domain
interpreter, renamed as pdex.exe, pdexw.exe or pdexu.
If you still have the 2.2 interpreter, the bind will appear to
work until you run your .exe when you'll get "not bound correctly".

Hi Rob,
Did you repro the problem described in my post "Bad 2.3 Bind bug"?
It seems like the binder 'corrupts' constant declarations under certain
circumstances.

Yes. I noticed that it's missing the keyword "constant" in one place
out of 6350 lines of shrouded code. When I re-insert it manually
the chess program works fine. I'll fix it for the beta.

Great!
Just wasn't sure if you'd seen it or not.
Thanks,
