Last year we had discussion on whether we should split the list into Windows, DOS and Linux to reflect each of the platforms. We stuck with the single list. The list is relatively high volume but then so are a lot of things (relative that is If you don't have time to read every message then just go on the subject lines - trash what you don't think is appropriate. If you bump into something which refers to an earlier post you didn't read then you can always make use of the archive to get back up to speed. I'd rather have high volume which I can filter on instead of low volume but that's just me. Also right now the list is more high volume than normal due to the 2.3 release. Give it a few weeks and you won't have as many "97 new message" surpises!
