1. introduction
Hello all,
I am new to this list and new to Euphoria programming, so I will probably
lurk for a while.
I was on a search for multiplatform (Dos, Windows, Linux ) languages as well
as a Java VM for Dos when I stumbled across the RDS site. I have downloaded
the software,but have not looked at it yet.
My programming experience is mostly VB, doing quick and dirty number
crunching, not a lot of GUI or graphics. I am hoping to delve into simple 2D
cadd like graphics with Euphoria as well as machine level IO
(serial,parallel port stuff).
I had previously downloaded the Java2 1.3 sdk, but have not found a dos JVM,
and to tell the truth, the shear size of it is a little overwhelming, though
the graphics stuff really peaked my interest (maybe November).
(well, back to lurk mode)

Welcome to Euphoria, Mike. And just consider yourself lucky your computer
had a hard disk big enough for that JDK
