I drove up thru Virginia the other day/night, on I-81, to goto Namesecure in
Herndon, as they had screwed up their domain registration database (that's a
database in unknown format that is used for storing internet domain data in,
in case anyone was wondering) again. The country Nature built there is
beautiful. I hadn't remembered the air being blue before, the blue did detract
from the beauty i had remembered 30 yrs ago. On the drive back home, in
the evening, the people in "god's country" were burning their garbage, so i
drove most of the way thru "god's country" with the windows up and the a/c
off to avoid the fumes. The one smoke column in the posted wildlife
sanctuary was interesting the way it curled, and the tire fire seen from the
interstate was impressive. But I still wish it were the way it was back in the
70's, when the air wasn't blue and it was breatheable all day long.
