Today I tried = to access the Exotica API. Unzipped it and all that jazz, nothing = different from how it was on the other comp. Tried to run a prog and it = tells me that it can't find the DLL!? Mark Brown just finished asking about it this morning. It's not a = path problem and the dll is fine. Mark's Morfit API works on my comp, = but not the exotica EDX.dll!? With Mark it is the same except it won't = recognize his e_morfit.dll. What could this be? Are we overlooking something? I racked my brain and so has Mark. I suspect it's a system configuration problem. Absolutely everything else of Euphoria works perfect, but this oddity... Any help would be appreciated. ------=_NextPart_001_0031_01BFAEE6.8511A360 charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META content=3D"text/html; charset=3Diso-8859-1" = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META content=3D"MSHTML 5.00.2314.1000" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3D"Comic Sans MS">Hello everyone,</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3D"Comic Sans MS"> I just recently = moved all of=20 my things to a new puter. Why don't you change to another e-mail program you are filling the list server with garbage text.

His garbage is MIME encapsulated print quotable HTML formatted version of the simple message that you do happen to see amidst the beginning of the message. Lucius L. Yes and his simple three line message takes up 88 lines of text on the list server.

I didn't think that the listserv would be that dumb as to print out the HTML. I assumed it would just be ignored, like the rest of the html messages I send. I won't do it anymore. Chris

Chris, >Sorry Guys, > > I had tacked on a little jpg to the end of my messages. I didn't think >that the listserv would be that dumb as to print out the HTML. Therefore people whos mail programs don't automatically format the text and show the images have to see all the html tags and the byte representation of the image. A simple solution to the image problem would be to use a <img src> tag for it instead of attaching it. Of course you still have all the html tho. later, Lewis Townsend ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com

Hi Chris, The "Dll not found" problem with Exotica's edx.dll will say just that if the pc you have doesn't have the DirectX 7.0 or above installed. The edx.dll needs to access specific stuff from the dlls that DirectX 7.0 or above installs. So, Euphoria does actually see the edx.dll, but the dll fails and reports "Dll Not found" because the edx.dll returns a failure code because it can't run right. My next version, 1.5, will have a better response-meaning when this happens. Sorry about that confussion. -- Todd Riggins
