Hi all,
For anyone who's interested in EDS, I've just released
an update to my EDS Toolbox - now at version 1.3.
This version includes RDS's newest incarnation of EDS (0.5),
along with some minor bug fixes and added documentation.
You can find it at my website at http://tenbux.iwarp.com/downloads.htm.
At that URL you can also find my Website Monitoring Kit, a
small thing I put together using Perl and MS Access to
analyze website traffic.

I had no problems following the link provided above. It looks like you're
trying to download the .zip file directly, and it isn't letting you do that.
Then again, I know next to nothing about ftp or http, so take a generous
pinch of salt with that assessment.

Sorry about any problems you had downloading Kat;
unfortunately I don't know what causes that particular
problem. I always test my files after uploading, and I
have only had a problem once (and it turned out to
be a server configuration problem). FreeServers has
been doing some upgrading recently, so maybe that's
the problem?
Also, my Linux box is on the fritz, so I haven't been
able to test on one - has anyone had any success with
EDS Toolbox on Linux?

It's possible they want me to un-"cloak" some of the browser, i think they
are looking for the referer tag in the browser header, which i don't send.
It's a normally silly demand on their part,, only useful to cut down on
traffic to (dumb) bots doing bruteforce web searching. If they want it for
this, i'll see what i can do to make their puter happy enough to send the
file.

Whenever I try to download it from your site I get an error! "Account is not
authorized to logon from this station". I think there are many people who ha
s successfully downloaded without this problem. Can anyone figure it out,
why I am getting such error.

That sounds more like a problem with the computer you're using -
there's no webserver message like that I've ever heard of :)
Sorry for the trouble - like I said, FreeServers is in the process of
upgrading some of their system, so it's likely that's what's causing
some of the problems.
If anyone would rather have me email the file to them, I'd be more
than happy to - just drop me a line privately.

Wouldn't the simpliest thing to do be to post the files on the
RDS archive where no one seems to have download problems ?

Done.
edstb13.zip is now linked directly on the RDS site.
I had no problems getting it from Buddy's site,
but apparently some people did.
I hope Buddy doesn't mind.
BTW, it's a very useful addition to EDS. Thanks.
