You might find this (somewhat lengthy) and not specially Euphoria link of interest: http://www.readout.fsnet.co.uk/tparty/cmdline.htm I think Euphoria and porting to alternative platforms is important and so the current status and future of potential platforms (UNIX or otherwise) could be of interest to the group. The above link is a copy of an essay by Neal Stephenson which I found on the net in mid to late 1999. Lots of copies are still available (and in better markup than mine). I personally like the bit about the "Hole Hawg" power drill. A tool designed with one goal in mind: that of drilling holes! An operating system should be no different but read the article. Neal presents a better case than I ever could. The "operating system cross-roads" section is well written and helps get perspective. Just thought I'd share. Regards, Andy Cranston.
