I'm trying to run the Network Text Engine demo and it's telling me it can't find one of the include files (readwritegc.e) in the folder... However, it's right there! What's possibly causing this?

Tried moving a copy of "readwritegc.e" to euphoria/include and it STILL claims to not be able to find it... Weird! -ck ----- Original Message ----- From: "C. K. C.K. Lester writes: > it was DOS, requiring a shortened filename... but i thought that no longer > mattered!!! With DOS on 95/98/ME you can open (or include) long filenames with Euphoria 2.3 and earlier. DOS long filename support for XP and 2000 is coming in 2.4 (a month or so). I have experienced this before. This is usually happens when the example program exists on a windows virtual folder eg my documents, etc Jordah. use valid physical folders(nOrmal) thinking of it if you put the program in EU include then it should, anyway make sure u put the whole program on a normal folder and use short filenames for safety, Soory culdn't be of any help ----- Original Message ----- From: "Derek Parnell" <ddparnell at bigpond.com> To: "EUforum" <EUforum at topica.com> Sent: Monday, December 09, 2002 5:05 PM Subject: Re: Strange Problem - Not Finding Include File > > JUst a couple of guesses... > > if in Unix, is the spelling in the correct case ? > > if in DOS, try shortening the name. > ---------------- > cheers, > Derek Parnell > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "C.
