1. Edita err

Hello Pete,

Sometimes, but not always, I get the following error.

--
Duplicate tools section [4]: restart Edita to see if problem solved
("Database Viewer:tedb", "Verify edita.edb:vedb")
--

This usually occurs when I first turn the computer on.

Clicking the upper right hand X box in Edita and restarting Edita
usually fixes the problem. But I have to do this at least twice before it works.

You had similar problems in Aug 2006 which seemed to have gone away.
When you get this error, run Tools/Crash, and send me the ex.err and your
edita.ini file, I'll see if I can spot anything I missed 11 months ago.

Pete

3. Edita err

Hello Pete,

I got your email and emailed you back. I was not trying to be smart.
When I get the error and select 9/0 in the menu. I get "are you sure you want to
dump"; Yes I do. Then I get "attempt to divide by 0 at line 2xx da da" in the
console window. Edita no longer works.
I close the console window and look in my Edita folder and found ex err which I
sent you; as you can see this error report has nothing to do with Edita but a
previous program I was working on.

So I guess my question would be where do I find this dump?

Start/Find/Files and Folders/ex.err.
I just ran this on my system and found 118 of the little b****rs, so you may
want to sort by the modified date, or delete the lot, leave the find window open,
go create a new ex.err, and when you switch back to the find window the new one
should have popped up.

Regards,
Pete
