Hello All,

If anyone is interested the new Nexus Radio is available for download. As I
previous posted a few months back the new version is completely free to download
and redistribute to friends and family.

For those who are not familiar with Nexus Radio it is completely written in
Euphoria(Excluding the external DLLs/Libraries), and compiled to C using the
translator.

Hi,

Just to let you know, on your download page, with my 120 dpi screen, the link
to download the radio is offset to the left and some people might not find it.

Hi Larry,

Good catch.  After I had quoted that, I did some more looking and didn't
find the prediction had come true.

Meanwhile I have been trying to research the issue, and have found
it obscure.  I have wondered if the assumption to 96 dpi might not be a
problem (I have had a few downloaded programs completely goofed by my
settings), but I now am more wandering in confusion, than wondering.  People
can, and do change the dpi, can a programmer take this into account?  Is it
worth the bother? -- at this point, I have no idea.

DB,

There are ways to keep the font style the same across multiple DPI settings. I
am not sure what is going on with your system but I have had a few other people
test the site under higher DPIs with no problems reported. What are your system
specs?

Hi C. Bouzy.
I tried your Nexus Radio and I am astonished.
I was trying to get a good net radio program and found none. All of them take
a long time to connect, and most times don't succeed. They have many other
drawbacks.
Instead, yours is wonderful: easy and fast connection, it doesn't usually
lose the connection, has a lot of effects (I'm only beginning to try them),
has a really large radio base, is free, doesn't contain adware, and more.
The only problem I noticed is this: in case the connection is lost,
it tells the station is not available, but if one tries again, the
connection is immediately restored. So, I think that a good added feature
would be retrying the connection automatically in this case.
Many thanks for this wonderful program. It shows that Euphoria is not a
toy language at all, but a extremely good tool for any programming task.

Could you post the first line(s) of the file you are trying to read from, as
they appear in Notepad for instance?
get() reads a valid Euphoria object string representation (the kind sprint()
returns), otherwise it fails.
So if the first line is, say "include dll.e", the string "include" is not an
object representation and get() returns {GET_FAIL,whatever}.
If you want the first line of the file returned, use gets() instead. Otherwise,
I am not sure of what you want to achieve.

Is there any way to run it from non-administrator account?
Can you add "New Age" genre?
What does "Filter" do?

Yeah, I get an error message, something about "Incorrect Privileges",
 "..login using account with admin privileges..".  And I *think* it installed
from the non-admin account just fine.  

That "Filter" sounds nice, so of course here's a suggestion to "spiff" it up:
allow that Nexus does NOT have to be connected to a *particular* station, but
either SCANS the info headers of *all*, or just user specified stations, looking
for the filter terms on *any* of them, then connecting & recording as found.

Just an idea.
