Guys, I'm jumping up and down with excitement: I've just downloaded a new version of a file manager that's *perfect* for any DOS *programmer*: multithreaded and exceptionally powerful editor, program- mer's calculator, dbase, built-in programming language, tileable, scalab- le, etc., file manager windows, a very good multi-protocol comms program, conversions (chars, codepages, etc), scheuler, bineit, memory browse & edit; editors and viewers optionally remember last editing position and retain edited files between program launches, syntax and file color co- ding, fantastic searches, and so many additional goodies it would take a book just to mention. I thought this could be very important, especially for anyone in the DOS programming sector. And it's totally free! It's called Connect (aka The IBM Handshaker, by KHEMS Ltd, Russia) and is located on anonymous ftp://ftp.kiae.su/msdos/shell/connect/* (1.3M requi- red files zip). You MUST get it! It's to Norton Commander what an XT is to a P6. Sincerely, AY

It's to Norton Commander what an XT is to a P6. I downloaded it but the help, .txt, .htm files are unreadables. Is this in Russian? Jacques Deschenes Baie-Comeau, Quebec Canada desja at quebectel.com
