1. EuWinGUI vs. EU3.0.0

EuWinGUI.il doesn't seem to work with Euphoria 3.0.0.
I hope there will be a new version soon. :-[

Salix:

Sorry, EuWinGUI's next version will be for 2.4 & 2.5 only. It also will
be released as a DLL only. Andrea has expressed difficulties with the
Version 3 OpenSource version. Andrea will not be upgrading to Version 3.

Have you tried the EuWinGUI.dll with Version 3?

EuWinGUI's next version is finished and being tested. Anrea will release
the new version as soon as docs are done and testing is complete.

Just out of interest, why? Is this due to technical difficulties with the
code, or legal reasons due to the license? Just curious, but is this the
then edge of the split wedge?

4. Re: EuWinGUI vs. EU3.0.0

No I don't think so. Andrea just stated that Versions 2.4 & 2.5 have
everything that is needed. There is a concern with the OpenSource and
future releases will be DLL only unless you want a 2.4/2.5 shourded
version. I have been only receiving DLL versions for testing, this has
been totally workable.

I have downloaded version 3.0 and will test it against the new EuWinGUI,
but I will not release or sell any programs using the OpenSource version.

The new EuWinGUI now contains the following improvements:

Non-Printable key scans - Page Up, Delete, Page Down, Etc.
   Colored Controls
Printer routines - much simpler and more versible than Win32Lib

As before, all Controls are still dynamic instead of being declared as
a constant. This allows all controls to be moved and re-used for other
uses, saving programming size and declarations.

I have downloaded the Euphoria 3.0.0 version and tested the new
EuWinGUI using the .DLL version. Have found that all demos plus all
my programs using EuWinGUI work just fine.
As you can see Andrea will be releasing to the EU community very
soon. I know all EuWinGUI users will enjoy this release.
