Right on! Heck, FreeBSD is more compatible with some flavors of Linux than other
Linux distros!!

Well, seeing that PicoBSD, DragonFlyBSD, TrustedBSD, EmBSD, ClosedBSD, and
FreeSBIE are either experimental, partial, have very selective tasks, or are no
longer being developed, no, they don't work as well and aren't expented/designed
to be as well but the same can be said about 5 times as many Linux distros. Plus,
many of these do have pretty decent support for recent technology.

However, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, PC-BSD, and DesktopBSD work perfectly fine.
Sure, they may lack somethings but I would rather have the better reliability,
stability, and security that the the BSDs have over having new hardware support
the second its available.

Definitely. Anything the Red Hat based Linuxes lack in usability or eye candy
they make up in compatibility and power.
