No, it needs 386+.
I wrote many business apps which ran on 286 processors using Borland compilers.
Pascal would look most like Euphoria, and Borland is giving away their C and
Pascal compilers, complete with help files,demos, etc. You can download either
from http://community.borland.com/museum
The latest free version is 5.5, which has OOP. I can't remember for certain if
it would run on a 286, but I know the debugger required a 386. Anyway, the
stuff is free and tons of commercial software has been written with them.
