Here I have a new portability experiment,
Can anyone using Linux tell if Euphoria runs properly on this:

I'm not sure what this CalderaDOS image thing is. I've personally tested
Euphoria on CalderDOS and runs fine after removing EMM386 from config.sys.
Not counting PEU, and hoping RDS's Euphoria for Linux is out soon (using
gcc), here's my soon to be supported platforms:
MS-DOS
CalderaDOS
Linux (all distributions/platforms)
BeOs R4 (at least intel platform, probably PPC)

Do you have an old emm386? Or the original one that came with dr-dos 7.0?
Go to Caldera's website, there is supposed to be a patch for certain
extenders and emm386. Can't remember if causeway was on the list, or if
there WAS a list, but it can't hurt...

It was the original emm386 distirbuted with dr-dos 7.02. I've read from
other sources that Caldera's emm386 is in efect buggy. I haven't tried
this, but those sources recommend to use Microsoft's emm386 (from MS-DOS).
If someone is currently running Caldera's DOS and has access to Microsoft's
emm386 may give it a try.

I also did have (a lot of) trouble as I used euphoria on dr-dos's emm386.
that's why I returned on M$ (you see, only for euphoria!). But I don't think
you could simply use MS's emm386 because they are not equivalent.
On MS-Dos emm386 needs himem.sys to run first, on dr-dos it's
emm386 that does all the job, there's no himem.sys.
I will try to find the patch, I hope it's OK.

...oops! I just had a look at caldera's site:

and I see that there IS a himem.sys with dr-dos. anyway, it is
not mandatory because my standard setup didn't use it.

they also have a new release: v7.03 .
