2. RE: Who has a decent sound library?

For DOS there is the Ecstacy sound lib wich plays wav files. For windows you 
can use the win api to play midi:s. There is a good sound library (dll) for 
windows called BASS wich lets you play files in wav, mp3, mod, s3m & xm 
format. I've written a partial wrapper for BASS, but I don't recall me ever 
releasing it.
